About Jana

I have always been drawn to creating art from what I find. Over the past decade, my walks through the wild landscapes of the Pacific Northwest have led me to naturally shed antlers, skulls, and feathers — treasures left behind by the wilderness.

Through this collection, I hope to bring a little of the magic, wisdom and wonder of the natural world into everyday life.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, where I developed a foundation in precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, with a background in the metal arts. My artistic practice has long centered on illustration and sculpture.

Today, I bring these skills together in a body of work that unites beauty with function, honoring the raw materials, natural forms, and underlying truths the forest offers to those who walk mindfully.

I have called the Pacific Northwest home for the past 16 years, where I live with my husband and our animals, continuing to find inspiration in the landscapes and gifts of the natural world.
